Cluster Groups
Candover Valley Farmers
Candover Valley Farmers is made of 16 farm business of over 8,000ha between Dummer and Alresford, Hampshire.
Following the Candover Brook and beyond, the group’s main interest is peer-to-peer learning for sustainable and profitable food production, as well as engaging with local communities and enhancing the chalk landscape.
Manhood Farmers Cluster Group
The MFCG is a group of eight farmers, managing around 2000ha of land on the Manhood Peninsula. This is an area of land to the south of Chichester, which is bordered by water on three sides, by Chichester Harbour to the West, the English Channel to the South, and Pagham Harbour to the East.
North East Kent
The North East Kent Farm Cluster was set up in early 2024 as a response to growing concerns about water availability. The group contains 32 members and covers just under 10,000 hectares. As a Defra Funded cluster, members seek to broaden the groups horizon and focus on the environment and the wider farm business.
Selborne Landscape Partnership
The Selborne Landscape Partnership was formed in 2014 and is centred around the village of Selborne. It operates across farmland surrounding Gilbert White’s historic home and covers an area of approximately 6,000ha . The Partnership has 29 members, including partner organisations such as: Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust (Noar Hill), the National Trust (Selborne Common & The Lythes), Gilbert White’s House & Museum, Chawton House & Park.
South Downs Farmers Group
The South Downs Farmers Group was formed in 2016 and is located between Kingley Vale and Old Winchester Hill. The habitats found within the area include chalk downland, coastal and floodplain grassland, woodland, and arable farmland.
Southern Streams Farmer Group
Southern Streams Farmers Group is made of 31 farmers and landowners, who look after over 10,000ha between Marlborough, Hungerford and Ludgershall.
The group aims to work together to accomplish landscape scale results, especially for vulnerable chalk streams in the River Kennet catchment. The group area also includes chalk downland and ancient woodland.
Winchester Downs Cluster
The Winchester Downs cluster group comprises 36 farmers & land managers working together to improve wildlife and biodiversity on a landscape scale, covering an area of approximately 9,300 hectares to the South East of Winchester.
Winchester to River Test Farm Cluster
The Winchester to River Test Farm Cluster is a group of 35 farmers who look after approximately 35,000 acres of land.
The cluster includes arable, livestock, dairy and mixed farms, with an alliance of large estates, commercial farm businesses and smaller farming enterprises. The cluster recognises the need for environmentally friendly farming and that by sharing knowledge and experience they can both produce food more sustainably and help restore nature.
